Lightly lit light...
I love light in all its iterations. I'll take a dense urban environment in the late afternoon over just about any other scenario. If you keep your eyes open, you can wander into spots that look like they were custom lit for you on a movie set. But in reality, they're just the perfect confluence of reflected and refracted rays.

gorgeous. what did you shoot on? are they edited at all?
These images, as well as your last post on the NYC business / finance professionals, really show the power of lighting and finding the right situations and locations to take advantage of lighting. Awesome.
@Taylor - Thanks!
@Rosa - I shot these on Canon 5D Mark II's...I'm assuming by edited you mean toned? I only adjust a bit of contrast and white balance, but when you expose for the highlights to begin with, it's naturally that dark...
great stuff very cinematic and mysterious
Pure genius Jeff!
I love it!
Both this and your last posts are awsome and I really like how you capture both light and atmosphere. inspiring!
Your work exemplifies great wonders; absolutely amazing!
Really amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Un trabajo estupendo
Great eye for light! I'm on vacation in Hong Kong and just turned onto your China Documentary in Yunnan - brilliant! Keep up the good work.
Martin.
Hey Jeff, awesome work. The last photo in this sequence (guy with baby buggy in the background) looks an awful lot like the set lighting for broadway musicals or the movie musicals that were so popular in the 60s and 70s. Good eye.
Amazing! Well done sir!
